A picture of this cover doesn’t really do it justice. You can feel the threads of flames and it’s really neat. I was lucky enough to be able to read this book early, here’s my review.
Danny and Anne were coworkers in the fire department until they got trapped and Danny had to rescue Anne. While she survived, she had to leave the life she knew and start over. In love with her, it was incredibly hard not only what he had to do to rescue her but to see her lose the career that she loved. In her new job, their lives intersect and it may just be the opportunity they need to connect and begin a life together. I love Ward’s writing, she always gives her readers a great storyline with the right amount of steam and swoon. I get why Danny went on a downward spiral and I appreciate that Anne was there when it counted. The suspenseful aspect of the storyline with arson was an added bonus to the overall storyline and turned this book into a wonderful romantic suspense. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
