Stefano has a job to do, and he’s got the right men around him to get it done. The only problem is that one of his men, Angelo, has a younger sister, which means she’s off limits. But Stefano has been around Angelo and Laura his entire life, and he’s sick of hiding from Laura because she’s just the type of women Stefano can see a future with. The only problem is telling Angelo about this.
I told Sienna before I agreed to review that I wasn’t really into mafia books, but because I enjoy reading her books, I would review. I’m glad I did because our main character, Stefano, was quite surprising to me. While he had a job to do, he wasn’t your typical overbearing mob boss. He wasn’t afraid to show his feelings, he wasn’t an alpha male, and that was completely refreshing. In fact, I think his love interest Laura has some competition.
I love Laura and Stefano together, I think they are good for each other. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded and I liked the fact that the story included other characters, and that you felt you got to know them. Sienna hit quite a few tropes with this one, and she did it well. Nicely done.
