In Bring Them Home, we get stubborn Dakota, set to rescue a group of girls being trafficked. Because she’s still got her walls up around Diego, she has to pretend she’s not attracted to him while working with him to rescue these girls. She’s not afraid to dive in, even if it means she puts her safety on the back burner. She’s the badass heroine that sits on the pedestal I’ve put her on, the gold standard of leading ladies. She’s assertive, she’s strong, and she’s very feisty.
Julia DeBarrioz is one of my most favorite authors, so when I saw she had a novella coming out to tide me over until the next big release, I had it preordered immediately. This is a super-quick read that I got done in under half an hour. This is one of my most favorite series, which I feel speaks volumes because I normally won’t read a series until it’s all out. But the beauty in this one is that you don’t need to have read the other books to have a fantastic storyline, but reading them all makes the world Julia has created that much better. Such a fun read, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Dakota.
