Scarlett has been hung up on Wes for far too long. Now she has the opportunity to put her business to rights with the help of a very delicious looking man. The problem is both of them have their walls, and they get defensive around the other. They can’t see past their preconceived notions and judgments to see that there might be something under the surface. A lot is riding on this competition. Let’s hope they can stop bickering long enough to focus.
This was the slowest of burns as you keep hoping something will happen. But then they start bickering, so you throw your hands up, frustrated, and then keep reading because you need it to happen. Poor Scarlett has a lot of self-doubts, and she gets caught up in her head a lot. I think Pete is the perfect man to whom she can voice her feelings. I love how perceptive and open she is. Emma and Helen made their appearances, and Emma had me choking on my tea in laughter.
Sagan writes wonderful sex-positive books, and this one touches on so many meaningful issues. Throughout this series, each of our stars has brought something important to the forefront. Scarlett is very passionate about multiple things, and I think she can go really far with that passion. If I’m judging by who the other books followed, I feel like there’s definitely another book or two in store for Scarlett and Pete. We *need* another book, stat.
Her Bad Idea is available for preorder on Amazon for $2.99, it releases August 25th.
