There is still a threat out there, and it comes in the form of Earl. He’s determined to destroy as many people in his way as possible. They need to find him and take him down for the good of everyone. If Silver’s father can give them back their abilities, they might stand a chance. But it will not be an easy road. It’s not safe out there, and with Silver’s new power, she might hurt the others before they even get a chance to fight Earl.
Silver is feeling unsure of herself and her dark power. She’s feeling guilty because she doesn’t have it under control, and she’s scared she’s going to hurt others. It doesn’t matter that others are supporting her. She doesn’t have faith in herself, so she doesn’t believe it. But they all have a job to do, so she needs to get things under control, and fast.
The thing I love about this one is that there are so many exciting elements Noelle has put into the story. There’s the dystopian aspect, but then we have Silver and Matt’s relationship adding a touch of romance, and it’s a thriller because you find yourself racing through pages, cheering on the crew in their quest to take down Earl. It’s all very exciting, and it made the book impossible to put down. This was such a fun read, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
