Beautiful Things Evil People Do, Kailee Reese Samuels

Meet Jynx and Echo. Neither of them is interested in a relationship. Both are carrying burdens from the past and the weight of their family’s expectations. Can broken people help heal each other, or is it just an implosion waiting to happen?

“I inherited sadness from my mother.”- This resonated with me because there are millions of people that suffer from depression. Some can’t tell you why they feel bad, they just do. Echo is a runner, something I know well. It’s much easier to leave and protect what little thread you’re holding onto. It’s easier to push people away, keep your circle small, and forge through.

I loved how this couple ties into the world that Kailee has created. I hope other reviewers leave their reviews as vague as I have. You need to go into reading this as blind as possible. You need to let the gifts Kailee has given in the writing wash over you as they come. Dark, romantic, and unapologetic, it’s a fantastic read.

Beautiful Things Evil People Do is available on Amazon for $3.99, it’s enrolled in KU.
