Sea Spray, the third book in the Time Box series, brings us to the roaring twenties. The Lane’s land themselves in a fantastic mansion and are making friends. They hope this move might be their last move as they settle into their new lives. Devereaux is still on the hunt for the Lanes, so they need to lie low. But as they’re known to do, they might not be in hiding as well as they hoped. Can they escape him in the 20s, or are they doomed to a life of traveling throughout the decades?
I love the multiple points of view in this. I also love that the story is told in alternating years as well. We get to see the Lanes living in the 20s, and then we get to see what the present is doing to stop the Lanes in their quest to elude Robert. I’ve read a lot of John’s books, and I’m always impressed with the amount of research that goes into them. They are always a true historical gem that gives you a super fun storyline filled with accurate historical detail. And while we’re left with one heck of a cliffhanger, I for one am utterly pleased that John is going to bring us to my most treasured time in history to explore in his next book. Wonderfully done!
Sea Spray is available on Amazon for $3.99, it’s enrolled in KU.
