When the publisher reached out to see if I wanted to read Just Haven’t Met You Yet, I jumped at the opportunity. I read This Time Next Year last year and fell in love.

Laura likes her job, even if her boss can be impossible. It’s quirky, and she get’s to share love stories with the world. If only she had her own love story to share. But the problem is Laura has impossible standards that no man could hope to achieve. She runs too easily. When Laura travels for work, she falls into her own meet-cute. Can she finally have a story of her own for her viewers?

While the romance is more lukewarm than hot, this book ticks many boxes for the reader. I loved the characters. Laura and Ted, Gerry, Laura’s friends Vanya and Dee, are all fantastically written. If you’re on the “I can’t stand Suki” train, I’m riding right there beside you. I don’t like these kinds of manipulative tactics, and Cousens wrote her personality well. Jersey is richly descriptive, and if there wasn’t a pandemic, I might be on the next flight out there. I laughed out loud a lot reading this. Laura’s inner monologue is so funny, as is the banter she has with those around her. Overall, this is a fun read that makes you feel warm and happy while reading. Thank you, G.P.
