I didn’t do a TBR cleanup post last month, so I have some catching up to do. I have 391 books in my Goodreads TBR. I normally don’t get fussed about it, but when I’m not reading an ARC, it’s nice to have an organized TBR to choose a book from. So I don’t choose from GR because it’s so out of control. Let’s get into fixing that.

The Golden Hour, Beatriz Williams
Historical Fiction
I had such plans to read this when I added it. But the wait at the library was over a year, so it got forgotten about. I’m going to delete this for now.

A Breath Too Late, Rocky Callen
YA/Mental Health
Rereading the description, this still sounds up my alley, even though it’s been in my TBR for a while. So I’m going to keep it.

A Bend in the Stars, Rachel Barenbaum
Historical Fiction
I don’t read as much historical fiction as I used to, and while this has some lovely reviews, I’m just not sure I will get around to reading it, so I’ll remove it.

The Stationary Shop, Marjan Kamali
Historical Romance
I must have been on a huge kick when I was adding all this historical fiction. I love this cover, but I’m not sure I will read it, so I’m removing it.

The Night Watchman, Louise Erdrich
Historical
Okay, I know I said I was cleaning up historical, but I am always down for reading authors who are Native American. So I’m keeping this one.

The Arrangement, Robin Harding
Mystery/Thriller
The description just doesn’t do it for me anymore, and I’m not a fan of authors using alcohol to create an unreliable narrator, so I’m going to delete it.

NeverAgain: A New Generation Draws the Line, David and Laura Hogg
Non-Fiction/Memoir
I wish we didn’t have to keep going through school shootings in the states. I wish survivors didn’t have to put up with the harassment. So I still want to read this and am keeping it.

The Girl with the Louding Voice, Abi Daré
Contemporary
Gah, this one was at the top of my TBR, and I still want to read it. I’m keeping it.

Girl in Pieces, Kathleen Glasgow
YA/Mental Health
This has so many great reviews, and I have this in paperback, so I’m going to keep it.

Last Chance Books, Kelsey Rodkey
Contemporary Romance
Romance isn’t really my preferred genre, and I only read it when it’s an author I already review for. So I’m going to delete this.
I’m deleting 5 out of 10 books. I was hoping to delete more, but there were a lot of good books in this 10, so I’m happy I was able to delete some and keep others.
Have you read any of these? Should I keep some I deleted or move some of the saved to the top of my TBR?
I have read The Night Watchman and I really enjoyed it.
